IU Phase One Projects

Phase One: From 1996 — 1998, the First Phase of IU work supported 20 pilot projects that focused on early exploration of the Internet for educational partnerships. Participants included many campus academic and outreach units who partnered with schools and community groups in San Francisco, Oakland, and the Bay Area. The core question addressed in this first phase was "how may the Interenet best be used to meet the needs of teachers and students in K-12 settings to improve educational outcomes?"
