Background
One year ago(May 3, 1999) the ISTAT team discussed project assessment.

At the conclusion of that discussion, the group agreed upon the following four points:

  • Set as goal collection of student work at end of year 1, examples across range of performance.
  • Explore data issues: what will be realistically used, and how will it be handled / processed?
  • Attach assessment tools to each lesson on Web, including rubrics and examples of student work
  • Middle and high school groups should include work in assessment as part of the summer work goals.

(Excerpt from the May 3, 1999 Meeting Summary.)

Question:
In the work that you have done with your small groups over the past year, how has your work reflected these four points? What kinds of assessment tools have you used? What difficulties have you experienced?
