Purpose: This project will use scientific investigation to hypothesize and then measure and analyze room temperatures. Some investigations include the difference between Mr. Temoche’s classroom and other classrooms, the insulation of the walls, the effect of the sun, temperatures at different times of the day, the role that the computer plays in the heat, biological/emotional effects on students, and an understanding of heat and light. Students will be prompted to respond to questions throughout the lessons, which can be reviewed by the teacher, as well as make final presentations of their findings.
